Day 006 Update

It's finally done! I literally just completed all of my work on this blog. Each goal on my list now has its own post, which I will update as I progress through my list. I feel good about this attempt at 101 in 1001. Since I started working on the goal posts on January 3, that's the day I'm counting as my start date.

Here's how it's going so far! The goal titles are links to the individual posts.

001 - Publish this list online
Complete! Obviously it's here. Every goal is accounted for, including this one!

037 - Achieve a typing speed of 100+ wpm
In progress. I needed a base score so I could improve up to 100 wpm. According to typingtest.com, as of 01/03/2010 my speed was 94 wpm.

041 - Graduate from college/Earn my BS degree
In progress. I start my second semester of my sophomore year January 11! My major is Event Management and my minor is currently Pre-Law, although I'm considering switching it to French.

042 - Complete a sudoku book
In progress. I bought a book of sudoku puzzles (including some puzzles that use letters instead of just numbers) shortly before the new year.

063 - Volunteer
In progress. Yesterday (01/09/2010) I attended the orientation for the pet rescue shelter I'm planning to volunteer with. My first volunteer shift will be next Sunday (01/17/2010) and  then I have another shift the following Saturday (01/23/2010). I'll update as they happen.

067 - Send a care package via anysoldier.com
In progress. I have requested the address of a soldier who is stationed in Afghanistan until early March 2010. I need to gather the things I want to send and get them shipped.

069 - Donate 10,000 grains of rice at FreeRice (1000/10000)
In progress. I got off to a good start, donating 1,000 grains of rice on 01/05/2010 [screenshot]. If I accomplish this goal too quickly I may continue to update as I donate more. I didn't realize it would be so easy.

090 - Take one self portrait a week for a year (02/52)
In progress. One and two. Feel free to add me on Flickr.

You can always use the # IN PROGRESS tag to see what I'm working on if you're curious.
